My vintage collection.

I have to thank my grandma, mom and aunts for my beautiful vintage collections. I inherited all the bags that they didn't lose or gave away. And I love them and I will always have them in my closet. And hopefully I'll make the collection bigger :).

There is no such thing as 'you only need one white tee in your closet'

There is no such thing as 'you only need one white tee in your closet'

Proenza Schouler short sleeve tee / Monki peace shirt, $19 / rag & bone short sleeve shirt / Glitter t shirt, $36 / T By Alexander Wang sports t shirt / Prabal Gurung silk shirt / Monki , $9.74 / Elizabeth and James sequin tee, $425 / Chanel logo t shirt / Tee

Let's all talk about how some people think that with one simple with tee you're good to go. Well they are certainly wrong. There are a lot of type of white shirts that women need to have in their closet. At least in my point of view. Let's review some of them.
-The 'Expensive Brand' white t-shirt: a lot of women have the necessity of making other women, normally ones that they don't like, believe that they have the best of everything. All better than what they have. That is why, this t-shirt is so important in a women closet. Because it doesn't need to be original, it just need to look like its original so that they can brag about it without saying anything. The power of clothe speaking.
-The 'Collar Long-sleeve' white t-shirt: this is really, really necessary. This is a multifunctional product. Women can use this in a relaxed evening, as well as in an elegant dinner or party.
-The 'Relaxed' white t-shirt: this is the kind of shirt that women use when they have absolutely no idea what to use. This is used for sleeping, cleaning, going to the mall, on a date, to school, to do exercise, to the beach, to winter, etc.
-The 'Sequins' white t-shirt: well, we all know that we need at least a little bit of sequins in our closet. And because we never have enough white shirts, we might as well add a white sequins shirt.
-The 'Two Pocket' white t-shirt: because one pocket is not enough when you have your period, or when you want your breasts to look bigger because your bra isn't doing a great job.
-The 'I Can be Slutty' white t-shirt: ok. Not all women can agree with this one, but I know a lot of them would. There's a point in a women's life where our hormones get to out heads too much, and this is probably in puberty, or throughout teenagerhood. But a lot of adults have it too. And they just want to show off their attributes, without being too obvious. That's why this shirt is essential. Its low enough to show a little cleavage, but if you want to show more, you just open it up a little bit.
-The 'Nun' white t-shirt: this shirt is the opposite of what I wrote above. This one is for teenagers like me, that do not enjoy showing off cleavage, but enjoy doing the opposite, because they think it looks way better. It's also for people with acne in their chest…
-The 'Relaxed+Slutty' white t-shirt: this one is like the mixture of the relaxed one and the slutty one. Just in case they are both in the laundry, you have this one.
-The 'Not So Simple' white t-shirt: because if you're a white t-shirt lover like me, you probably get a lot of comments from your family or friends telling you you need to stop wearing simple white shirts all the time. That's when this shirt comes to your closet. Because they can't tell you this one is a simple white shirt.
-The 'It's not enough yet' white t-shirt: this one is just because you never have enough white shirts.

I know that it looks like the center piece of this post is the dress. But no, its the shoes. Or the shoe…
I think those are the kind of shoes that if you buy, you will never get rid of. If I had the money, I would probably buy three pairs because I would use them so much that they would be all destroyed in like 3 months, so I might as well buy the replacement so I don't have to be without them.

First day of school perfect tee.

First day of school perfect tee.

White tank

I know a lot of people likes school. And some times I even enjoy school a little. But first days are the worst days. In my case, I think avoiding the first and second day of school is the best thing you could possibly do. First of all, teachers seem to think we still aren't big enough to introduce ourselves personally to the people we want to introduce ourselves to, so they make us write our name and what we like to do and our favorite music, as if it was even necessary to write it. And then we have to read it out loud to the class. Why?
The thing is, first days are for people who really enjoy school. And I'm not talking about geeks or nerds or losers, because I am a loser and I don't enjoy school. But because my parents still have power over me, I have never been able to not go the first day of school. Because to make it even more painful, my mom is a teacher. And she thinks those first day assignments are necessary.
Because two year ago I was still living in my native country, and I had to wear uniforms. I could never offend anyone wearing awesome tops like the one above. And because last year I was too scared because I was in a new country and all that crap, I didn't wear it. But after christmas break I am definitely wearing something offensive.

I guess it looks like a day at the office.

I guess it looks like a day at the office. Cliche.

Givenchy lace blouse / J.Crew pink skirt / Christian Louboutin leather sandals / Marc by Marc Jacobs marc jacobs bag, $510 / rag & bone floppy hat / Favorite Places & Spaces...New York City / Winter @ NYC

As I wrote on a previous post, I love New York. And I can't wait to live there someday. So I was talking to my mom about what I would like to do after I graduate for school, and I told her that I would like to do an internship in New York. So if my dream of doing an internship in New York does come true, I would definitely wear this to the office.

No puedo esperar a vivir allá algún día.

Summer in NY..........someday.

Summer in NY

Monki , $13 / Karen Millen / AllSaints high heels / Brahmin bag / DANNIJO vintage style necklace / Off to School Flocked 12 x 12 Transparency

Well, I love New York, and that's not the ending of the cliche. It gets funnier, because I've never been there. But its my favorite place in the world, after my native country.
But when I go, I'm somehow going to figure out how to buy every item in this post and walk everywhere in it because I love it and I'm one of those masochists that would walk hundreds of streets with high heels when I even lost the habit of wearing heels because I don't go to parties anymore…
But I would, and the pain will only be beautifully painful.

Givenchy sleeveless top / Antonio Berardi short mini skirt / Balenciaga black pointed toe heels / KOTUR / Hermès bracelets jewelry / Hermès silver bangle bracelet

m having absolutely nothing to do with my life. And that's what I do when I'm bored, I go to the bathroom because it kind of give me ideas. So as I was exploring places in my head, out of the blue, a picture of these Balenciaga heels came to my mind. I have no idea why did that happen. I just remember liking the shoes a lot, so I looked them up on Polyvore and I found them. And because my life could not get more interesting than these, I made an outfit for the shoes. Amazing shoes. The first thing I found was the Givenchy top, and as soon as I saw it I was making the outfit for the top, but it was really for the shoes. And then it went on like that.
In conclusion: I want those shoes, the top, the skirt, and bracelets. :).

If I could dress Keira Knightley...

If I could dress Keira Knightley...

Elie Saab beaded gown / Diamond jewelry

Yes, I AM obsessed with this woman. She is unfairly stunning. And she sure does knows how to dress. I love how elegant she is. She can be wearing blue jean shorts and a white tank top and she'd still look elegant because her physical appearance IS elegant. Love love love. It's annoying how obsessed I am. But well, I guess you've figured I want to be part of the fashion industry some day, and I do. I want to be a designer, but before, I would LOVE to be a stylist. And my ultimate goal would be to dress Keira Knightley. So just imagine she's going to an event and I'm her stylist, right now, I'd dress her like this, but I would probably change my mind in a week, so don't pay too much attention to me.

Me encantaaaaaaa.

What I'd wear to prom, if I go.

What I'd wear for prom, if I go.

Yves Saint Laurent boatneck dress / Lanvin , $3,735 / Alice + Olivia bustier dress / Rebecca Taylor strapless dress / Christian Louboutin platform pumps / Yves Saint Laurent black wedge / Nude shoes, $570 / Ted Baker platform pumps / Rosantica jade jewelry / Balmain , $1,430

Previously, I put on my blog a post about what not to wear to Prom. Because I criticize like I had the best clothes in the word and the best style, I want to post what I would personally wear to prom, if I go.
I do not have the best clothes or the best style, but I like to believe so. As well as me, everyone likes to believe what they're wearing is beautiful, because you wouldn't wear it if you didn't think so, although inside you know better.

What NOT to wear to prom.

What NOT to wear for prom.

Party dress / Turquoise short dress, $80 / Short dress / Ruby Rox dress, $69 / Sequin cocktail dress, $32 / Sequin dress

Recently, I moved to the United States with my family. From where I'm from, Prom is not common at all. I've seen it in movies all the time, but I never really thought people actually wear those dresses. Then I moved here, and they do.
I hope I don't offend anyone, but if I do, I hope they take my words as an advice.
This year I did not went to prom, and I'm still debating wether I go or not next year. Of course my mom wants me to, but I'll be 18 before prom so I would decide for myself. I highly think that I did not go because I would have been the whole night criticizing everyone's outfit. I know you must be thinking I'm a judging bitch, but I'm not, because there's a difference in judging and criticizing. Because everyone knows we all love to criticize, specially from other girls. Don't lie to yourself.
There is something about this dresses that make me dislike the person that is wearing them. I'm serious, even if I love that person. Is like the dress is so completely wrong that it makes the person bad as well. So please, there are plenty of beautiful dresses that are perfectly ok to wear to prom. They don't have to be like the ones above. Seriously.

No te mientas a ti mismo.
Enserio, aunque yo ame a esa persona.

First date?

First date?

Unisex tank top, $45 / DKNY , $665 / River Island ripped jeans, $72 / Rupert Sanderson high heel boots / Banana Republic clutch handbag / Magnetic cuff bracelet / Chain necklace, $105 / Cartier bracelet

Today I was talking with my friend about the difference that makes when you label your "date" AS a date, and when you just call it "hanging out" or "chilling" or "spending time with ___." You know how there's a lot of people that get freaked out when someone asks them to go on a date with them? Well, that word scares me. I do not like it at all. It does not mean I have Malaxophobia though (yes, I looked it up on Google). Its just that word. Someone should
create a name for the fear of the word Date. So, I'm pretty sure Wordatephobia (this is the world I invented for the fear of the word Date) does not only happens to me. And because this was the topic that I constantly discussed with myself in Biology class (when I do everything to not listen to the class) I decided to create an outfit for the first day. I found that cute Unisex tank top, and I think what it says goes perfect with the pressure of the "first date." Because if you're going to an awkward first date, you might as well make it even more awkward without saying anything whatsoever. And then cute ripped jeans that I guess will make you look more "relaxed" (you have to fake it somehow) and a silk jacket to make him or her feel more appreciated.

Bueno, esa palabra me asusta a mi.

PROENZA POWER.

Walk

Denim jeans / Christian Louboutin hi top sneaker / Proenza Schouler leather handbag, $1,915 / Chiffon shirt

I was in Polyvore doing what I like to call my favorite hobby, pretending I'm shopping. And I saw this amazing Proenza bag. I've seen it before, but after I saw it, I kept looking for it in stores and on the internet and I could never find it in that color on suede. So when I saw it on Polyvore, I decided to put an outfit together for it.
